| COLT CORAL (Cladiella sp.) Awesome Soft Coral for Beginners!!
This is the mother colony of the Colt Coral cuttings that I am offering for trade. This is a second generation animal. (Cuttings are third generation) This picture does not really do it justice, the thing is about 16" tall! I am ready to cut 2 or 3 more fragments off of it. Each one will be at least 6" tall with many branches - hardly what you would call a fragment. I Currently have 3 large cuttings and one HUGE (10"). The 3 are about the size of the large, tank raised specimens that sell for about $30 Mail Order ($40-$50 at my LFS). All are healthy and growing rapidly. They are currently attached to a small rock by pushing a toothpick though the stalk and lightly rubber-banding the toothpick to the rock. These are fresh cuttings and are not yet attached to the rock. I would estimate them to be adequately attached by 9/21/02. My preference would be to trade for LPS or soft coral (mushroom, etc..) specimens. But I will also sell them for $15.00 US + shipping. If you are interested in one, I recommend that you look at my current water chemistry page to get an idea of how much acclimating you will need to do when adding it to your tank. Here are current frag pictures: ![]() Currently, these are in my Refugium because the currents are not as strong. This gives them time to attach to the rock fragments. They are looking a little sour right now because I rearanged them to take the picture. When they are fully extended, they take up most of the tank area shown. I'll get another picture tomorrow when they are extended. The hundreds of white spots are tiny fan worms covering the rear and sides of the tank. Comming
Soon! (with any Luck)
